The nice thing about dental implants going forward once somebody has them in their mouth is if in the past their teeth were really susceptible to decay and things like that they don’t have to worry about that anymore with dental implants. Yes, you still have to brush them and keep them clean because you could still be susceptible to gum disease and things like that, but the maintenance is a lot less because they are synthetic so you don’t have to worry about what if I get a cavity on it or something like that. That’s the real nice thing about dental implants and dental implant care; structurally they’re a lot stronger than the teeth and maintenance is really low, it’s just a matter of brushing. The whole idea of flossing and doing all the things that the dentist was probably harping on you for years before you lost your teeth, that’s kind of out the window now. Now you’ve just got to brush them and keep them clean.
