Melissa Stearns
Financial Coordinator
Melissa is starting her 5th year with the Matiasevich team. She loves making each visit special and relaxing. She will be the first to make you feel welcome in the office, with her easygoing, approachable personality. Outside the dentist office she has received her license in Real Estate and Financial Planning. When not in continuing education classes, she is busy as a Certified Make-Up Artist. On the weekends she enjoys working out and getting a relaxing message.
Carly Teller
Insurance & Scheduling Coordinator
Carly moved to Santa Cruz from Oregon in 2007. With a BA in Spanish Literature from University of Oregon, she had no idea that she would find herself in the dental field. She has been with the Matiasevich Team ever since and continues her education toward certification in Dental Hygiene when not in the office full time. She enjoys getting to know each patient. Carly keeps everyone on their toes with her new hair colors and homemade pies. In her free time, you will find her at a Good Sam RV outing with her grandparents or at the beach tanning.
Beth
Dental Assistant
Bethany Diaz joined the practice in 2007 as a dental assistant and earned her license as an RDA in 2009. She is bilingual in Spanish and has family in Mexico and Honduras. In her free time she loves playing soccer and beach volleyball with her husband.
Christina
Dental Assistant
Christina Toscano has been at our office since 2005. She was born in Modesto raised in Watsonville and has a 2 yr. old son. She loves spending time with her son and helping her grandmother sell strawberries at the local sky view flea market in Santa Cruz.
Anna
Dental Hygienist
Anna Agnone was born and raised in Santa Cruz and attended Soquel High School, where she played basketball, softball and volleyball. Anna became a dental assistant out of high school, and fell in love with the profession. She attended Cabrillo College obtaining her Associates in Science Degree and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2005.
Anna’s research interest includes laser therapy, bacterial and genetic testing and treating and stabilizing periodontal disease.
Anna is married to her wonderful husband Mike, they have two adorable daughter’s that keep them very busy!
Leslie
Dental Hygienist
Hi my name is Leslie. I am a recent graduate from the Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene Program. I am originally from Southern California, where I graduated from CSU San Bernardino with a BS in Public Health Education.
In my free time I love walking my 2 rescue dogs, Sadie and Ginger, on the beach. I am an active member in the Monterey Bay Dental Hygiene Society, where I am the Vice President of Community Dental Health. I look forward to meeting you and helping you maintain a healthy smile.
Marcy
Marcy is born and raised here in Santa Cruz and is a Harbor High School alum. A real animal lover, Marcy has an adorable dog, Mylito and a handsome cat Smokey. When not in the office, she finds herself enjoying the beach and camping with her husband Larry or rooting for the San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. She is HUGE sports fan and has the jerseys to prove it!
As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Matiasevich was raised in Santa Cruz. He did his undergraduate work in economics at the University of California Irvine and attended the University of Southern California for his dental degree.
